The Oakville Preschool Advantage

Choosing a childcare centre for your child is a big decision. On this page we aim to help cut through the lingo and get straight to the advantages of choosing Oakville Preschool over any other childcare facility.

Childcare centres are highly regulated by the Department of Community Services. The department provides guidelines by which all services must adhere to as a minimum.

At Oakville Preschool we go over and above those guidelines to provide a service of exception care, education and fun.

The Oakville Preschool Advantage in a Nut Shell

Childcare regulations state: 1 teacher to 8 children aged 2-3yrs/ 1 teacher to 10 children 3-6yrs

  • We provide: 10 staff members to 59 children
Childcare regulations state: 2 Bachelor of Education teachers are required for up to 59 children
  • We provide: 2 Bachelor of Education qualified staff members. In addition to these teaching staff members we also employ 2 Diploma of Children's Services staff, plus 1 staff member completing her Bachelor of Education and  6 Certificate 3 in child studies staff members.
  • All Oakville preschool staff have formal qualifications and/or are working towards completing them.
  • All Oakville Preschool staff have firstaid qualifications


In addition we provide:

  • Animal studies and therapy
  • Horticulture
  • Environmental education
  • Prep School program written in conjunction with our local primary school
  • Owner with over 22 years of childcare experience
